The Trainee Finance Manager role is an opportunity for a recent graduate to develop in a friendly team. The successful candidate will gain a range of skills and experience within the Legal Services specialism whilst having the opportunity to participate in the development of a long established and progressive firm.

Duties will include, for instance: creating budgets and cash flow forecasts, analysing firm and practitioner performance, identifying and implementing remedial action as required, working alongside the accounts team on daily tasks, and monitoring compliance to the Solicitor Accounts Rules.

Training: The successful candidate will be sponsored and expected to achieve the Institute of Legal Financial Managers Diploma in their first year. Further training may be agreed as the role develops.

About the Candidate: The successful candidate will have at least a 2.2 in an undergraduate Business degree. Part or full accountancy (i.e. AAT, CIMA, ACCA or ICLAW) and IT qualifications would be advantageous as would experience of working within an office environment or as part of a finance/accounts team.

You will be commercially aware, numerate with attention to detail and benefit from strong analytical and communication skills. Knowledge of bookkeeping, budgeting and financial statement analysis would be an advantage.
