Regional Account Manager for the Midlands area

Purpose of the position:

*

To identify, develop and manage relationships across all Intermediary disciplines within a defined regional area for protection products

*

To meet and exceed Annual Premium Income targets across all Insurance propositions set in line with objectives and targets, including sales quality

*

To develop and maintain purposeful relationships with Network representatives, Intermediaries and other business providers.

*

To reinforce TCF principles and work in line with brand values

Key Responsibilities:

*

To achieve agreed sales targets through identification and development of accounts across a range of products and propositions

*

Work closely with the Head of Sales and the Head of Strategic Partnerships to identify sales and marketing ideas and business growth opportunities through maintaining regular contact with accounts in the defined geographical area

*

Develop existing and build new relationships with accounts

*

Analyse performance of defined geographical area to identify trends, offering solutions and recommendations internally to drive improved business performance using all available tools

*

Agree and manage implementation of regional sales plans to achieve business targets and growth

*

Work in an effective partnership with telephone based colleagues

*

Deliver confident, engaging and dynamic training, seminars and workshops to business partners to create and maintain engagement and support.

*

Maintain a high level of product knowledge across all product lines, understanding current and future legislation that may affect relationships, along with key competitor contracts to enable objection handling

*

Maintain a high level of presentation skills and, in conjunction with Head of Sales, develop and deliver one to one, group presentations and training sessions

*

Demonstrate commitment to personal development, professional advancement and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks

*

Maintain a strong and visible link with all internal departments, to facilitate the highest standard of service to Intermediaries

* Ensure compliance with business governance processes

* Promote core values and behaviours at all times, including taking care of own Health and Safety and that of others in the workplace

Person Profile:

*

Energetic, strong, self-confident and self-disciplined,Self-driven, dynamic individual with proven ability to achieve and exceed target

*

Strong influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build new relationships

*

Confident at delivering presentations to challenging individuals and larger audiences

*

Clear communication skills with an attention to detail

*

Strong organisational, planning and time management

Experience and Qualifications:

*

Experience of working with Intermediaries, IFAs and Wealth Managers

*

Knowledge of protection and healthcare products is essential

*

Proven track record of developing new and existing books of business

*

Strong background in relationship and territory management

*

Ideally hold a relevant industry qualification, for example CII

*

Computer literate ,Full UK driving licence
