Acorn is one of the UK’s leading recruitment companies and we are looking for an experienced PR & Communications Executive who can promote our brand, carry out our PR strategy in line with business objectives and establish productive relationships with key stakeholders and journalists. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of success in the communications sector, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

As PR & Communications Executive, you will be responsible for:

* Managing the company’s external PR & Communications with the support of an external agency
* Producing engaging and relevant content for press releases, news and announcements in line with overall business strategy, geographical and divisional needs; often to tight deadlines
* Writing regular online content for various specialist sectors within the company
* Copywriting and generating bespoke content for marketing campaigns
* Managing and creating engaging internal communications
* Monitoring and updating of various social media accounts; ensuring key messages are accurately reflected throughout and regularly updated and identifying opportunities for proactive content around key dates
* Developing, managing and reviewing corporate communications to ensure consistency and accuracy

The role requires someone with the following key attributes:

* Previous experience working in a PR or communications role
* Proven ability in copy writing / editing
* A relevant professional qualification
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* The proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
* A full UK driving licence
