We are recruiting for an experienced Data Centre Electrician to provide maintenance services to a critical site in Knaresborough. You will be expected to have good knowledge of FM disciplines and Electrical building services. Based rotating weekly shifts of 8:00am till 16:00pm and 10:00am till 18:00pm. 37.5 hours per week, although weekend work and out of hours work should be expected.

The role is a permanent position, more details below:

· Monday to Friday – 37.5-hour weeks

· Salary will fall along 29-31k per annum

· Take part in call-out rota 1 in 4 (18:00 till 6:00, this call-out covers 2 sites)

· Working on a large commercial / Industrial facility

· Must pass an Enhanced DBS

Duties & Responsibilities

· To ensure that all critical PPM’s are carried out on site and carry out reactive work at the request of the end user, ensuring that this is in line with SLA’s

· To ensure the correct H&S procedure is observed

· To provide Electrical H&S and compliance engineering on each facility

· To undertake minor installation works such as lighting and small power installations

· To carryout fault finding on systems up to 415v

· To undertake electrical works on the BMS, power supply, lighting, power generation, HVAC, UPS, A/C units, etc

· To respond to Helpdesk requests, providing a professional and timely service

· To support the other members of the maintenance team with ad-hoc tasks across all disciplines

Skills & Background Required:

· Recognised professional Electrical apprenticeship or equivalent

· 2391 Qualification for Testing and Inspection

· 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations

· H&S Focused with training to support

· Ability to deal with conflicting priorities

· Knowledge of F-gas procedure

· Proven building maintenance experience within a critical facility

· Must be presentable and reliable

· Willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check

· Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally

· Strong planning and workload management skills with the ability to manage short term and long term activities to agreed deadlines
