Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Manufacturing

Canterbury

The successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will need to: -

* Provide Mechanical cover to ensure production machinery/Mechanical equipment is monitored and maintained to ensure effective running outputs/target speeds

* First line mechanical breakdowns (out of hours)

* Complete fault finding on process equipment

* Implementation/use of predictive and preventative maintenance systems

* Implement/use of engineering audit systems

* Champion small installation projects/upgrades

* Participate in larger installation projects/upgrades

* Complete scheduled inspection/maintenance activities and ensure adequate information is recorded

* Participate in shift handover to ensure relevant information is clearly passed over to next Shift Technician

* Develop close working relations with Shift Team Leader and Production staff

* Undertake any necessary training and development

* Work in accordance with Company housekeeping standards

* Adhere to Quality and Safety Procedures

* Carry out any other reasonable request

Shift – Days 07:30 – 16:30

The Person

The successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be able to demonstrate experience of;

* Must possess recognised approved mechanical maintenance apprenticeship/relevant qualifications

* Experience of Mechanical maintenance (Pneumatics, gearboxes, motors, rotating assemblies, Hydraulics)

* Welding / fabrication experience is advantageous.

* Ability to work to tight deadlines

* Ability to communicate and produce reports, documentation and is PC literate
