URGENT VACANCY – IMMEDIETE INTERVIEWS

CJ Recruitment Solutions are recruiting a Skilled CNC Turner/programmer to join a small, friendly engineering team, working at its site in Barrow upon Soar. Leicestershire.

The ideal candidate will be skilled and experienced in CNC turning on a Mazak, Mazatrol controlled machine, be able to read and understand engineering drawings, work to tight tolerances and carry out own inspection. CNC milling and manual machine experience would be advantageous but not essential.

A strong engineering background is essential as well as experience in Mazatrol controls.

One offs and small batchwork is the work that will be undertaken.

Must be able to work autonomously machining parts from drawings.

Job Purpose:

* High quality and timely manufacture of required parts to drawing specifications.

* Complete accurate manufacture of parts as scheduled and within time deadlines.

* Completion of all required paperwork.

* Effective communication with colleagues, customers and projects teams.

* High standards of reliability and punctuality.

* Good organisational and time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.

* Ability to work using own initiative as well as operate as part of a team.

Job Duties:

Manufacture equipment parts according to information supplied as scheduled by the Production Manager

Review work conscientiously and thoroughly to ensure high quality parts are manufactured.

Identify and resolve issues and feedback problems to the appropriate people.

Communicate effectively and co-operate within the machine shop team to complete the overall task efficiently.

Advise, train and mentor junior members as appropriate.

Participate fully with the stock control system.

Complete administration and paperwork as required eg delivery notes.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures and participate fully in the Health and Safety arrangements.

Contribute to the positive organisation and cleanliness of the machine shop.

Work in an ethical and professional manner at all times as a representative of the Company.

Flexibility to use other relevant skills and abilities as required.

Hours of work: 39 per week

Mon – Thurs 7.30 am to 4.30 pm (half hour lunch break)

Friday – 7.30 am to 12.30 pm

Holidays: 28 days including bank and public holidays.
