We are seeking a bright and confident Account Executive to join a client of ours, a fantastic firm who offer property insurance solutions to Insurance Brokers, IFAs and Affinity Partners across the UK. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

This opportunity, which comes with training, would be well-suited to those who have worked in telephone-based roles who are looking to begin a real career path. This is a great chance for somebody to come into our client’s business in this role and develop within their company and would suit people who enjoy learning and take their work seriously. Our client are an MGAA, with Lloyd’s Broker status. They have a team of Underwriters who assess risks for property insurance, providing brokers and independent financial advisers (IFA’s) bespoke quotes to present to their customers. The Account Executive role is the link between Broker/IFA/Customer and the in-house team of Underwriters.

Working as part of the four-person Business Development team, the role involves managing your own network of Brokers/IFA’s, maintaining strong relationships with them and seeking out opportunities to increase business.

General duties will involve:

* Taking inbound quite enquiries from Brokers, and collecting the information required for our in house Underwriters to provide a competitive quote as quickly as possible.

* Effective day-to-day prioritisation of your workload to ensure you are meeting your outbound call targets for your accounts

* Fielding incoming calls and emails relating to quotes and enquiries

* Develop strong, trustworthy relationships with key accounts by maintaining regular contact through calls and communication.

* Undertaking training with colleagues and outside providers but also learn about the company’s products and services whilst on-the-job, taking a pro-active approach to furthering your knowledge

* Keeping accurate records of discussions or correspondence with customers

* Deliver excellent customer service to clients / IFA’s and Brokers, maintaining Service Level Agreements

* Identify and secure new Brokers by outbound calls and targeted campaigns, creating new relationships with these

* Chasing quotes and recording feedback from brokers on why quotes have not converted

* Delivering Monthly Sales Figures to Networks and Partners

* Working as part of a team in tandem with new business underwriting to ensure the monthly sales targets are achieved

What you’ll need to be considered:

* Prior experience in a phone-based role; ideally sales or account management. Business to business experience would be beneficial

* A good standard of education and qualifications (A-Level/Equivalent minimum)

* A bright, inquisitive and on-the-ball mind; able to prize information of others, able to spot risks and anomalies

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Enthusiasm to learn and develop into a serious career – a desire to train and undertake study to achieve this

* A confident, friendly, professional nature with a great telephone manner and appreciation of what makes great customer service

* A strong level of accuracy with spelling, grammar and a keen eye for detail. Unafraid of dealing with numbers and figures
