Experienced machine electrician required for a permanent role for a manufacturing company based in Washington.
Duties include:
* basic PLC fault finding skills preferred
* Supervisory experience also desirable as would the willingness to take full responsibility for a project, an installation etc.
* Build panels and wire machines from purchased following the electrical drawings
* Build to the appropriate quality standard and time allocated
* Test, fault find and operate the final sub assemblies and machines
* Install equipment at Customer premises, complete snagging lists and handover
* Ensure all necessary quality paperwork is completed in a timely and accurate manner
1. Comply with all company Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental and Employee requirements, policies and procedures.
2. Comply with BS and/or customer specific quality standards
3. Interpret electrical assembly drawings, check parts against BOM before commencement of assembly
4. Assemble electrical panels and wire machines, working at benches or directly on a machine structure.
5. Installation and test of electrical and pneumatic control systems
6. Test all panel and machine wiring for quality of completed work.
7. Fit and test process equipment on the machine eg. sensors
8. Highlight build or running problems/concerns to the appropriate senior engineer
9. Work on site to install equipment, test and operate
10. Ensure all rework is correctly monitored correctly on the Yellow ticket system 1
1. To build all panels and machine wiring to the stated assembly time and quality level
12. General assembly work eg. assembling conduit or Uni-strut, drilling and manufacture of brackets
13. Ensure the workplace always meets the companies housekeeping standards
14. Carry out additional duties required to complete the assembly, operation and handover of projects to customers
