Calling all Production Operators - We are now Recruiting! Due to recent increases in production, our prestigious client based in the East Kilbride area is now recruiting experienced Production Operators for ongoing temporary positions. Our client is a global leader throughout the spirits industry, manufacturing numerous prestigious brands within the whisky, vodka, gin, liquors sectors and with exclusive packaging. We are looking for reliable, flexible candidates that can adapt quickly to the changes in shift patterns. Candidates should have a good level of oral and written English. Responsibilities include (among others): Basic operating of production/manufacturing equipment Loading and unloading materials on to production lines/machinery Carrying out routine product quality checks Accountable for numerically accurate picking and packing of manufactured goods. Must have ability to pack at or above speed of production line. Contribute to the production of quality products in line with the Company's Quality Assurance programme applicable to line and specific products. Co-operating with peers to ensure that issues disturbing line performance are dealt with effectively. Communicating with managers to ensure that messages are clearly understood and that objectives are clear and relevant to all. Be conscious of all health and safety issues affecting the line area including the wearing of PPE such as safety footwear, adopting and implementing good housekeeping practices. You will be expected to work in all areas within the Bottling Hall process which will include; sorting, packing and inspecting/modifying products. You must have high standards of quality control ensuring there is no flaws with any products. Having good attention to detail and dexterity is vital for this ongoing temporary role. Prepare and inspects whisky packages prior to shipment. Operates all equipment on the bottling line, perform off-line work for the bottling department as well as package re-work. Identify and respond quickly, in accordance with site procedures and policies, to safety, quality or operational issues. Consult production manager or bottling line supervisor when critical issues regarding product non-conformance, safety and production issues arise. Communicate in a professional and timely manner with all members of the team, including peers, supervisors and site leadership, as well as outside contractors, to ensure a safe, efficient working. Whilst working at the site there will always be an element of general cleaning duties as you work, ensuring your work area is clean and tidy and complies with the Health and Safety and Hygiene policy. The Person must have: Our ideal candidate will have at least one year's production experience ideally within the bottling industry, or within a fast-paced production environment. Good practical skills with the ability to work quickly and precisely Ability to work both independently and in small work teams - good team working skills Ability to stay focused while doing repetitive tasks, as well as being able to multi-task while being detail oriented and quality focused Ability to follow instructions with an awareness of health and safety Good written and verbal communication skills. High level of manual dexterity Must have a flexible approach to work. Demonstrate a sound understanding of manufacturing processes. Strong work ethic and positive, "can-do" attitude Ability to multi-task while being detail oriented and quality focused What can you expect? Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 17:00pm Friday 8:00am - 13:00pm Overtime is also available during peak times Rate of Pay is £7.83 p/h raising to £8.50 p/h after 12 weeks, overtime paid at a higher rate. Driving licence would be beneficial due to the location of this role, however there is a bus service in which runs in the East Kilbride area.
