Global Compliance and International (Card) Products team is part of the Global Commercial Services Technology responsible for delivery of global projects and programs in regulatory and issues management product domain. We also manage and deliver card product related engagements e.g. co-brand launches in international and manage development and maintenance of several international applications.

The role leads the design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of work efforts for customer-facing applications, business applications, and/or internal end-user applications.

Responsibilities:

    Perform technical aspects of software development for assigned applications including design, developing prototypes, and coding assignments Function as a leader on an agile team by contributing to software builds through consistent development practices (tools, common components, and documentation) Lead code reviews and automated testing Debug software components and identify code defects for remediation Leads the deployment, support, and monitoring of software across test, integration, and production environments. Automate deployments in test or production environments Automatically scale applications based on demand projections Influence team members with innovative changes and improvements by challenging status quo and demonstrating risk taking Be a productivity multiplier for your team by analysing work flow and contributing to enable the team to be more effective, productive, and demonstrating faster and stronger results. Mentor and guide junior team members to success within the team

Required skills:

    Significant experience in software development in a professional environment and/or comparable experience Wide breath of engineering experience using Agile or other rapid application development methods Experience with design and coding in COBOL, and DB2 or IMS DB Working experience with CICS, IMS DC, CHGMAN would be preferred Demonstrated experience leading teams of engineers Hands-on expertise with application design, software development, and automated testing University Degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related experience required; advanced degree preferred Prior knowledge/experience of working in banking or payments domain would be a distinct advantage as would a certification in relevant technical skills e.g., IBM DB2 certification Familiarity with object-oriented design and coding with C# and Java would be an advantage
