Tram Maintainer (Interior Overhaul) - Mechanical Engineer/FitterNottinghamContract Role - 12 Months Pay - £18.00 per hourStart Date: January 2019A leading international rail company is seeking 8x Tram Maintainers to join their Nottingham team on a high profile interiors overhaul. Relevant rolling stock interiors experience would be an advantage. there are 2 key functions of the team: Mechanical - removal and replacement of fixtures; and Flooring - removal and replacement of lino/vinyl flooringThe overhaul project is working on a fleet of rolling stock for Nottingham Tram; completing the mid-life interior overhaul. Grab pole replacement; seats and seat covers; wall panelling; ceiling panels; floor and lino replacementShifts/RateWorking Monday to Friday and some weekends, Days only the standard hours will be 40 per week. Shift starts will be 7am.Paid at a rate of £18/hr as a limited company (PAYE rates are available)Main duties and responsibilities will include:* To work as a member of a team to service, maintain, repair and overhaul tram stock & equipment* Work as directed by and in co-operation with the Production Manager and comply with all depot protection procedures* Understand and abide to safety notices, rules and regulations and follow safe working practices, H & S.A.W. and C.O.S.H.H.* Adhere to and work within Quality Systems to the current standard* Work as part of a team, complete or assist in any of the team's activities to ensure work is completed on time to specificationCandidate requirements:* NVQ 2 in Mechanical Engineering or similar or Time served apprenticeship or recognized equivalent for the more mechanical roles* Experience of working to procedures, work instructions and vehicle maintenance instructions.* Interiors overhaul experience would be an advantage* Experience in laying lino would be an advantage for some of the teamPlease apply below or for more information contact Rullion celebrates and supports diversity and is committed to ensuring equal opportunities for both employees and applicants.
