Senior Planning Policy Officer *Policy Work* *Urban inner London borough based in South London* *28-30ph* Are you an experience policy planner looking for a change? Our client are a large authority based in South London who currently have a requirement for a Senior Planning Policy Officer , to work on an initial 3-6month contract but with a view to move onto an ongoing contract. The work load is varied but is likely to include the following - Site and area development work including the preparation of site planning guidance and briefs, and area-specific plan, Producing Local Development Framework (LDF), Neighbourhood Plans, and other planning policy documents, including evidence-gathering, consultation, drafting, submission and adoption, and monitoring.As well as this you will be expected to liaise and work with external agencies/bodies to facilitate site development and physical and social infrastructure provision and wider implementation of regeneration objectives. The suitable candidate would need to have working knowledge of the Uk planning system as well as a thorough understanding of current planning legislation, issues, policies and developments at a local and national level, both within the planning policy and development control disciplines. In particular a comprehensive knowledge of planning and how it can help deliver regeneration in a multi-cultural inner-city context.
