Employment Lawyer - Partner Designate role with City Firm
This City firm has a genuine opportunity for a senior employment lawyer to join them on a partnership track.
The Employment Group is independently recognised as one of the best and most experienced teams in the country, offering both national coverage from the UK offices and an international offering through their employment specialists around the world. They are looking for an employment associate to join the team.
They act as trusted advisor to a number of leading FTSE blue chip organisations (both in the UK and internationally). Clients rely upon them to help them not only with technical legal issues but also to act as true business partners, understanding the particular challenges and opportunities within their respective sectors and businesses.
The London office regularly deals with cutting edge claims, projects and corporate transactions for a variety of blue chip corporates and financial institutions. The work regularly involves an international dynamic, working closely with colleagues in the international offices. The London team also regularly advises clients in relation to executive level employment law such as senior level recruitment and termination, executive compensation arrangements, bonus claims and enforcement of restrictive covenants. Within the Financial Services sector, they regularly advice financial institutions on a variety of these issues against the backdrop of the wider FCA regulatory regime.
To be considered for this role, you will be an English qualified lawyer and will have gained a minimum of 7 years' PQE in a reputable employment practice.
You will already have experience of being a senior lawyer in a team and demonstrate a track record in developing business, managing client relationships and supervising junior colleagues. You will be a collaborative individual who is interested in working with the partners to build up the skills of the team. You will need to be confident a self-starter who is not afraid to suggest improvements and is able to spot new opportunities. You will have a strong academic background and be able to demonstrate technical excellence. Equally important, you must be commercially aware and understand how a large international firm operates. You will also be a team player with excellent communication skills and a desire to be actively involved in multi-disciplinary cross-office initiatives.
