Product Regulation/Compliance Associate 3-7pqe- Top International Law Firm
This Top International Law firm are currently looking for a 3-7pqe Product regulation/compliance associate to join their team in London.
They currently have the largest and most experienced international product safety, compliance and product litigation practice in the world.
Their team is at the cutting edge of product law. They are leaders within the field of product safety, regulation and compliance (e.g advising major global brands on product launches worldwide and complex global recalls). They are also world-renowned for their management of complex commercial disputes, managing class actions, advising product companies on litigation risk, and defending product liability claims.
They are constantly evolving, like their client base. They are thought-leaders in relation to the complex world of product law and emerging technologies, such as AI, virtual reality, and innovative consumer products and medical devices. Regulatory authorities and policy makers look to them for their input in relation to the changing shape of products regulation - especially within the field of IoT. Their team of specialists advises on all aspects of product compliance, including risk prevention and management strategies, compliance with product safety regulations, labelling, product recalls, and crisis management.
They work with manufacturers and retailers across a wide range of product sectors, including consumer products, cosmetics, motor vehicles, products containing restricted substances, mobile phones, toys, electrical and electronic products, nanotechnology, industrial equipment, pharmaceutical products, household appliances, medical devices and tobacco. With over 200 product lawyers within their offices worldwide, and an international network of the very best associated firms, they are able to provide a well-co-ordinated and high quality service in every country where their clients operate.
You will have the opportunity to work with some of the world's leading brands providing product regulatory advice. This work almost always involves liaising with their global network and trusted local law firms. Your role on this type of project is likely to be acting as de-facto "in-house counsel", stress-testing how commercial the advice is and providing in it in a digestible form for the client. This might include advising clients on packaging and labelling requirements or being involved in a global product recall or safety campaign.
Whilst your primary area of specialism will be as a product regulatory advisor, the department is also involved in defending product liability litigation clams.
