Buying & Merchandising Manager, London Overview…Our client is a fast-growing, London based start-up, changing the face of online personalisation; offering a sophisticated user experience and delivering beautifully designed products. As a result of continued expansion they looking to expand its Commercial team with a Buying and Merchandising Managers, reporting into the Commercial Manager. The ideal candidate will be creative and analytical with an eye for design; able to build and manage a subset of categories and products ensuring that specific ranges are coherent, on-brand and commercially successful. Comfortable in a fast paced and changing start-up environment the role offers masses of scope for a dynamic and entrepreneurial Buyer or Senior Buyer looking to step up. About The Role…Work with the Commercial Manager to build and deliver the product strategy, including identifying what categories and products should be on offer, the breadth and depth of the ranges and how to be successfulSupport in defining product propositions by developing creative, customer-focused ideas and collaborating with other teams, including Marketing, Operations and CreativeWork with existing suppliers and Design partners to source new ones and develop new products and improve our existing rangeWork with Creative and Marketing to identify design and product trends which are specific to each of our international stores, which will help to inform our range plansWork with Operations to get products to market in the right quantity at the right time, location, cost and sales price to ensure it is commercially successfulManage the products over their life-cycle by analysing and responding to performance in order to plan future developments About You…Experience in a role which combines commercial decision making and an eye for design and creative trendsComfortable with Excel and handling data to generate insight and make astute commercial decisions and have the ability to understand the commercial implications of product and range recommendationsRelevant experience could include buyer / merchandiser role at a creative retail brandCreative, design and trend focused mind-set able to anticipate the products and designs that will delight our customersExperience finding and working with suppliers to develop products and negotiate commercial agreementsTrack record showing the outstanding project management, collaboration and organisational skills required to deliver multiple projects across different timelines and geographiesMotivation to work in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment Benefits…Competitive salaryBeautiful central London offices£40 per month cultural allowanceFully stocked fridge and weekly team lunch on FridaysRegular team events and cultural tripsFriendly and fantastic team! * Please note due to the high volume of applications we receive; only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
