Overview of Role:

The Principal Management Consultant will be a key player within Arcadis by supporting the development and delivery of best-in-class strategy and business transformation solutions. The successful candidate should also bring experience as well as a creative and intellectual approach to solution design and delivery.

Beyond expertise in one or more of our core consulting disciplines, you will need a strong intellect, the ability to articulate complex ideas persuasively and a talent for showing clients that we have the right solutions to their most pressing issues.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Independent management of client projects through the project lifecycle, from sale/ deal closure through solution design and activity planning, successful delivery and knowledge capture
• Tackling complex supply chain-related business problems across large-scale consulting engagements, designing and implementing solutions that can demonstrate benefits and value delivered
• Continuous development of supply chain services and sector-specific offerings
• Design, positioning and sales support to complex supply chain-related business solutions that integrate the complementary service offerings of the Business Advisory team.
• Deliver sales as defined by specific sector or client account development briefs
• Permanent accountability for people/ team development through line management of other team members
• Responsibility for the ‘on-project’ development of project team members’ skills and capabilities towards their career goals
• Lead internal team and capability building activities
• Proposition development to meet the needs of clients or to open up new service and sector specific opportunities
• Identify and communicate sell-on opportunities

What You have to Offer:

• Demonstrable track record of leading supply chain projects in at least one of the following sectors: Property, Public Sector, Infrastructure, Energy, Utilities and Oil & Gas
• Significant experience, content knowledge and practice of Supply Chain Management
• Leadership of project work streams including management of consultants, analysts and client team members
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a respective discipline
• MCIPS, or working towards MCIPS
• Highly numerate and analytical (quantitative/ qualitative)
• Business acumen and good knowledge of business operations
• Leadership, mentoring and coaching skills
• Expert in solution design, programme scoping, resourcing and pricing
• Commercial negotiation and project P&L management
• Facilitation and influencing skills
• Ability to deal well with ambiguity and new content in a very broad range of situations
• Boardroom presentation skills and business etiquette
• Proficient IT skills (MS Office)
• Projects will be based mainly in the UK and Europe but an ability to occasionally support delivery worldwide is desirable
