Alloga UK is part of a substantial pan-European distribution group. It is a highly successful, rapidly growing Company that provides a range of contract distribution services to an increasing number of high profile ‘Fast Moving Consumer Goods’ clients.
We have a vacancy available for ~
Internal Help Desk Support
40 Hours 06.00 – 14.00, 09.00 – 17.00 & 12 noon – 20.00
Reporting to the Support and Infrastructure manager, they will provide first line support and call logging activities for the Alloga UK IT Department. They will log all calls placed by clients and users to the IT Support desk during the core business hours and assign them for action to the members of the IT department.
On a day to day basis they will be responsible for:
* Providing technical support to users
* Providing support on client projects
* Producing and maintaining strict change control documentation
* Producing and maintaining IT documentation
* Testing system changes
* Provide first line support for client and user applications.
* Logging and actively chasing resolution on calls.
The ideal candidate should have good communication skills, and will be required to deal with both client and user queries. They will also oversee the control of IT crib sheets and reference documentation, to ensure that potential problems can be managed quickly and effectively by any member of the IT department or by users themselves.
The ideal candidate should have a good knowledge of the Alloga UK WMS, within multiple departments. They should have a good knowledge of IT, and their skills are expected to develop from exposure to the IT helpdesk environment. Help desk duties will include dealing with support calls that may involve software and hardware issues, installations, printers, telephony, and networking.
Some other skills that would be beneficial:
* A firm understanding of Alloga processes
* A knowledge of Computer hardware
* A knowledge of Microsoft software
* Exposure to SQL
* Exposure to Windows Server platforms and Windows 7/8/10
* Office 365
As a Member of the Alloga IT Support team, there will be a need to provide ad-hoc user and system support on a regular basis and any other tasks the Support and Infrastructure manager deems appropriate
