Job Title – Maintenance Engineer

Salary – £34,500 (OTE £36/37,000, paid at x1.5 & x2 hourly rate)

Shifts – 3 Shift System (6-2pm/2-10pm/10-6am)

Location – Stoke-on-Trent

With a presence in 25 countries around the globe, and a name synonymous with quality, they are now looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their dynamic team.

The Role

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for all mechanical and electrical fault finding and rectification across the site. This will include wiring motors and control panels, fault finding to input/output level on PLC control systems, changing bearings and stripping down components and providing support on the numerous robotic cells plant wide.

Time will be split 50%/50% between preventative and reactive maintenance with a focus on continuous improvement and process development, therefore a keen interest in CI projects would be highly advantageous.

Production equipment includes water jet cutters, moulding machinery, conveyor systems, robotic cells and packaging machinery.

The Candidate

To be successful in your application you must have the following skills, abilities or qualifications:

Must have previous experience working as a maintenance engineer
Must be comfortable and interested in working within a fast-paced, high pressure environment
JIT experience would be beneficial
Must have a recognised electrical or mechanical qualification (Apprenticeship, C&G, NVQ or HNC/HND)
Experience/understanding of ABB robots (IRC5 or S4C would be a huge advantage)

Training

As a Maintenance Engineer you will be entitled to 25 days holiday plus bank holidays as well as paid overtime. Our client provides extensive training both inhouse and externally including ABB training and Siemens S7. There are real technical challenges available for the successful candidate, within a tight-knit and innovative team.
