OPC (One Planet Company (Leicester) Ltd, Sister Company of Fischer Future Heat UK are looking for experienced and qualified electricians tojoin our expanding business andundertake a variety of tasks relating primarily to Heating Installations.
Our company is growing quickly, andwe requireexperienced and skilled electricians to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing new heating circuits for immersions & electric heaters, periodic testingon domestic and commercial sitesand certificating your workvia electronic certification on a tablet device -provided.
The position is both local and remote based covering the midlands, south and south east area’s primarily but the successful candidate must be willing to travel and be able to stay away when required. The company would cover hotel and subsistence if away from home. As this is a mobile role, a company van, some specialist tools and necessary IT (Phone & IPAD) would be provided. The candidate must hold a full clean UK Driving License.

Electrician Job Duties
* Assist in the installation of new heating systems
* Diagnose and repair electrical problems in domestic homes
* Assess the parts needed for a job and place orders for those parts or obtain them through our warehouse/logistics.
* Conduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial and domestic electrical systems, and ensure installations are to manufacturer standards
* Rewire faulty electrical systems, such as heating systems
* Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building codes, and follows safety requirements
* Work alone or in a two-man team to find and present faults and concerns in electrical systems without receiving explicit direction
* Provide exceptional customer service and answer any customer questions
* Install electrical systems to 18th edition wiring regulations, including installing heating and cooling system
* Provide professional assessments and advice for customers
* Possess working knowledge of IEE regulations, City & Guilds 2360 and 2382 qualifications, and inspection and testing certificate (2391)
* Demonstrate familiarity with NICEIC requirements
Requirements
* Proven experience as an electrician
* Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems desirable but not essential
* Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints
* Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
* Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
* Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight away
* Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician
* Valid license to practice profession.
