£1800 per month + 4.5% commission

OTE £50,000+

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Engineer. This is a cross over sales role, as our client has a Lincolnshire based engineering business and a Pneumatics sales and distribution business in Suffolk.

The Engineering business is currently undergoing a re-brand and re-launch and specialises in welding and general fabrication, machining, small batch production, prototyping and bespoke one off projects.

The pneumatics business is a one stop supplier of pneumatic industrial automation products and components. With thousands of high performance pneumatic motion and fluid control products available for immediate order. Suppplying off the shelf products and custom configurations, with most items dispatched in 24 hours.

The client has plans to improve SEO as well as investing in Google Ad’s to generate incoming enquiries for the Sales Engineer. There is also a database of prospects ready to be utilised for the pneumatics business.

This is a brand new position allowing the successful candidate to make their mark and establish themselves. They will also take over account management of some existing clients.

The ideal candidate will be based in the Midlands (not essential) and be an experienced sales person with an engineering background. Experience creating short and long term sales & marketing strategies with knowledge of CNC machining and general fabrication and welding as well as pneumatics. A confident customer facing sales person that is capable of technical discussions at engineering & commercial levels.

Requirements

* Exceptional sales & marketing strategist

* Able to work under own initiative

* Proven record in generating enquiries and winning business

* Excellent time management – splitting time between client visits, cold calling & ongoing account management

* Strong communicator

* Driving licence

Duties

* Focusing on business growth – New business and account development

* Creating and following short and long term Sales & Marketing strategies

* Client visits to promote services and generate new business

* Cold calling and email marketing to generate enquiries

* Proactive follow up of all enquiries – first contact to order stage

* Working with the technical team on projects

* Covering the whole of the UK and Ireland

The client is offering a very generous package of £1800 per month + 4.5% commission of net sales, this includes sales from incoming enquiries. They are also prepared to cover unlimited travel at 40p per mile.

£200K in sales per year would generate a Gross annual income for the Sales Engineer of £50,600
