Top-tier professional services firm requires new Analytics Assistant for its successful, growing and relatively new Newcastle-based Financial Data and Analytics team that operates throughout the UK and is the largest of this company’s kind globally.

Working from a large city centre office serving clients and a wider national team, you will be joining at an exciting time, with the opportunity to see this dynamic team’s offerings develop, participating actively in the same.

Developing the value and quality of technical service delivery, your responsibilities as Analytics Assistant will include:

• Assisting with data capture and extraction from key financial and ERP systems
• Managing remote and automated client data capture from key financial and ERP systems
• Cleansing data using Excel, Monarch, Spotfire, Alteryx and other data cleansing solutions
• Analysis of data using a variety of different software tools eg: Excel, Access, Spotfire, Alteryx
• Loading data to a variety of internal data analysis tools and solutions
• Working as part of a central delivery centre providing data & analytics services to personnel across UK offices

To apply for the Analytics Assistant role you will need/be:

• Good technical experience of Financial Data Analysis gained working with complex financial or transactional data
• A good working knowledge of Excel and one or more financial/ ERP systems
• Good data manipulation and data management skills - awareness of techniques for handling large data sets (>300m records in a table)
• Organised, cooperative, committed and able to prioritise and work well under pressure
• A strong desire to learn and develop into the role with a positive and enthusiastic outlook

Also highly advantageous:

• Experience writing code in languages like SQL and transforming data in Alteryx
• Building visualisations in tools like Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI or Qlikview
• Knowledge of a particular industry, an understanding of business and financial accounting processes
