Manpower are currently recruiting for a Regional Category Manager ideally with Automotive, Manufacturing and Commercial Procurement experience. MCIPS accreditation preferable and with the ability to deal directly with suppliers, to work within a prestigious Automotive company based in Erdington, Birmingham.

As a Regional Category Manager, you will be responsible for translating category strategies into actionable plans and building key supplier relationships to support these strategies. Working closely with key stakeholders, the Category Manager will proactively identify areas of opportunity for cost savings and performance improvements.

Skills / Experience required;

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or proven work experience - can be flexible
* Analytical with inquisitive mindset, ability to analyse situation, problem-solve and propose resolutions
* Strong experience in procurement, background as a Buyer or Category Manager
* Preferably automotive or manufacturing sector experience - can be flexible
* Excellent negotiation skills, ability to ‘push back’ for example when increases are proposed
* Good numerical skills
* Good communication skills – written and verbal
* MS Office skills, Intermediate Excel and Google preferred
* Strong organisational and time management skills, can prioritise workload and multi-task
* Interest in developing a career within procurement, MCIPS qualified or part-qualified greatly beneficial

This a temporary role with an immediate start working 8am - 4.45pm Monday - Thursday and 8am - 1.30pm Friday, paying between £30-40K depending upon experience.
