Are you looking for day to day or long term work?

Principal Resourcing are currently seeking to appoint SEN Teaching Assistants for a Special Education Needs School in Scunthorpe. The School supports students from ages 11 – 19 ranging from mild to severe learning disabilities.

These positions are for day to day cover and will be supporting any class at the school not on a 1:1 basis. It would be desirable if you held a Team Teach qualification or have experience of manual handling and personal care.

The ideal candidates need be a resilient, caring, nurturing Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant with previous experience who can take direction from the current staff at the School.

What you will require:

* Relevant Teaching Assistant Level 2 or above qualification or equivalent

* Can offer experience of working with children in the last 12 months, whether this is in an educational setting or child focused experience

* Evidence and experience of working with SEN students including Autism

* A confident and positive approach to working with children

* The ability to be a proactive team member, committed to raising standards and achievement

* An enthusiasm to learn and develop professionally

* A passion for education and supporting students

* A willingness and enthusiasm to commit to the expectations of the role

* A current DBS registered with the Update Service or a DBS done through Principal Resourcing
