Our Client is an independent Insurance Broker and they are looking for a Commercial Account Handler to join their team based in Winchester. They are a broker specialising in both Commercial Lines.

Day to day tasks would involve handling a portfolio of business from quotation through to placement processing the new and renewal business.

Duties will include:

* Handling of predominantly renewal business from quotation through to placement

* Collecting information from clients and assess their insurance needs

* Obtaining quotations from the open market as well as placing risks onto the binder

* Advising clients on risk management

* Negotiating premiums and coverage with clients

* Processing any endorsements and MTAs

* Assisting clients in the claim process

* Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, surveyors, underwriters and other professionals

* Business is Commercial including Property, EL / PL / BI / PI

Experience required

* Previous experience working as an account handler handling commercial business within the insurance industry is essential

* Excellent communicator

* Proven track record in building excellent relationships with portfolio of clients and Underwriters

* You will be visiting your clients so having your own car is essential

Hours of work either 8:00-4.30 or 8:30-5:00 or 9:00 -5:30pm with an hour for lunch.
