The Company
With over 3 decades providing systems integration expertise across the Petrochemical, Process, Gas and Environmental industries, my client is seen as the expert and reference point for quality, accuracy, safety and durability.

Due to continued growth and an enviable order book, they are now looking for a Calibration Technician to join their team in their impressive Staffordshire operation.

This role may suit someone who is just starting their engineering career but who has some relevant qualifications and experience.

The Role
As a Calibration Technician you'll be involved in all aspects of calibration activities. Predominantly an automated calibration process, you will be:

* Supervising the operational side of calibration
* Providing accurate and relevant reports on the calibration activities
* Managing your own workload to ensure planned work can be carried out on time and to the correct standard
* Taking raw data, analysing this and providing your findings to colleagues
* Utilising a system for storing calibration data for easy retrieval
* Creating device calibration details for future reference
* Analysing data from faulty equipment / instruments to work out a solution and provide action points, moving forward
* Working closely with colleagues in the R&D team to improve calibration and quality efficiencies

The Person
OK, we know you won't know everything and there's always an element of training needed to get anyone up to speed in a new job, but...and it's a big BUT: there are a few key things you're going to need in order to be considered for this Calibration Technician role:
* Previous knowledge of the calibration of instruments
* Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment
* An ability to provide technical information and reports to engineers in the business
* Strong analytical skills and the ability read, understand and digest technical information
* Solid I.T skills - mainly Microsoft Office but with solid Excel skills
* An ability to work to written procedures
* Experience of maintaining databases and electronic filing systems
