A NEBOSH qualified HSE Advisor/ Health Safety Environmental Advisor is required for our market leading engineering client for a 6 months contract to provide HSE support and advice across the Alton site in Hampshire . This exciting HSE role would suit an experienced Health and Safety professional with NEBOSH qualifications and good environmental, health and safety experience within the large plant production or large process plant high pressure, high risk industries such as the chemical processing, petrochemical, oil and gas or similar engineering plant sites. In return there is a good salary package of circa £30k-£35k pro rata plus excellent package in a rewarding, well established and reputable company. Apply now!

This is a 6 months contract role with full time hours of Monday to Friday 9am-5pm based in Alton, Hampshire. This EHS advisor role is a good opportunity for a motivated and driven safety professional looking for an interim role in health and safety.

The ideal health safety environmental candidate will have the following keys skills and experiences:

* Relevant HSE advisory experience within the engineering plant, plant production, large equipment, process plant high pressure lines / high risk industries such as the nuclear, chemical, energy, oil & gas, petrochemical, water, COMAH sites or other highly regulated engineering industries

* NEBOSH certificate or equivalent / higher health and safety qualifications such as Nebosh diploma, NVQ level 3 or 4, IOSH memberships such as TechIOSH, GradIOSH or working towards CMIOSH

* Good experience and knowledge of environmental compliance and environmental permits

* Good knowledge of HSEQ legislation

* Full driving licence and vehicle owner (this role is based at one site only but it is in a remote industrial estate area where transport is needed)

* Experience and knowledge of HSEQ management systems and compliance to ISO standards ideally (ISO14001 and ISO18001 especially) is desirable

* An awareness of process safety and risk safety would be of interest too.

This engineering plant EHS professional will have the following key responsibilities;

* Responsible for coordinating and advising on all areas of SHE compliance and EHS management systems at the site

* Carrying out risk assessments, audits and conducting sites inspections in line with HSE compliance

* Monitor regulatory compliance and COMAH reporting

* Ensuring company is following HSE legislation
