Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has an excellent opportunity for an experience Payroll Manager on a 3 months contract with a possibility of an extension.

Purpose of the role – Required to run monthly payrolls for employees and councillors, P11D's, P45's, P60's Pension Returns

Duties/Responsibilities—

* Ensure the efficient and seamless provision of the payroll service ensuring that payments to employees and Members are accurate and made on time and a first point of contact for internal and external payroll queries is provided.
* Work with the wider People and Change Team involving other colleagues and key stakeholders to deliver service improvements to meet customer needs and improve management capability.
* Ensure all statutory and regulatory returns are completed and submitted on time.
* Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements in the provision of services.

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications/Experience-

* At least three years’ experience as a payroll manager
* Local Government Background
* Knowledge of LGPS and annual returns
* Experience of Midland iTrent Payroll Information System or other Payroll Information Systems
