Becoming an Infrastructure Manager (Core Platforms) with Capita Customer Management:Capita Customer Management, based in Central Leeds have a new role for an Infrastructure Manager. The Infrastructure Manager will manage our Core Platforms team (Wintel/Citrix/VMWare/Storage). Whilst this is a hands-off role we would expect our Infrastructure Manager to have good general technical understanding of these core technologies and any emerging technologies to support the business in the future.The role of the manager is to provide governance and ensure that the team deliver, maintain and provide services across our dynamic estate of applications delivered from the strategic Citrix and Windows server estates to our circa 18,000 user base worldwideWhat you will do: * The Manager is expected to follow Capita policy’, technical strategy, processes and standards. They should be an expert in the disciplines of Support, Projects, understand ITIL, PCI-DSS, GDPR processes and demonstrate a good knowledge of packaging tools, processes and operating system integration techniques. * This role predominantly requires a working knowledge of Citrix, Windows, VMware, NetApp Storage, and Active Directory technologies. * This role adds value by implementing, maintaining and supporting, to common standards, solutions that are consistently stable, reliable and meet customer requirements within demanding timescales. * Liaise with other IT support teams and clients where necessary to verify technical solutions and ensure the successful integration of new systems * Perform daily housekeeping tasks to ensure optimal application environment operation. * Adhere to change control and application release procedures governing the respective environments Your experience will include: * Strong leadership skills – Previous experience of managing technical teams is essential * Experienced working in a similar role and fast paced IT environment. * Must have analytical skills and be able to solve technical problems across different application delivery platforms. * Must understand the complexities of the virtualised application layer created by App-V and the impact to multi-user platforms. * Experience with large Citrix deployments and managing applications across these. * Experience of operating in a PCI compliant environment. * Extensive experience of Group Policy / Preferences and Active Directory. * Experience of implementing legacy applications into new application delivery platforms. * Experience in Desktop Imaging tools and techniques. * Experience with Azure Cloud. * Experience with AWS About Capita Customer ManagementAt Capita Customer Management we provide first-class customer services on behalf of other organisations and companies by phone, email, web and more.
