The Company

Working for a large third party claims company who have presence across the UK.

The Role

Working as an Assistant Claims Investigator will provide a challenging and fulfilling role for those looking to specialise in investigating fraud across a whole range of claims industry sectors including domestic, commercial, liability, and motor.

The role will involve providing desktop investigation support to field based investigators as well as undertaking desktop investigative interviews using cognitive interviewing techniques.

* Provide support to DSI’s investigators in the investigation and validation of claims within the agreed structured processes of DSI, working in tandem with the appointed adjuster.

* Ensure hand-off and hand-backs between DSI and other parts of the company are conducted professionally, seamlessly and within a reasonable timeframe.

* To ensure that all diaries, files and correspondence are maintained in line with company standards and procedures and provide a clear and concise history of events, action and quantum assessment (in tandem with the adjusters/claims handlers where appropriate).

* When appropriate, case manage or undertake desk-top investigations utilising the investigative tool options available, employing best practice & key investigative competencies.

* Undertake desktop intelligence screening on individuals and commercial entities utilising a combination of open and closed sources of data.

* Produce Intelligence, Profiling and Financial Screening Reports.

* Adhere to client specific service standards and ensure investigations are conducted within the Company’s guidelines, procedures & protocols.

* Assist in the generation of optimal revenue for the company by ensuring true & accurate time recording and strict adherence to fee rates.

* Ensure that fees are issued at the appropriate time, and are allotted to the correct cost base.

* To settle cases if necessary.

* Be accountable for achieving Key Performance Indicators and strict SLAs in order to achieve optimal revenue.

* Promote & maintain the profile of fraud management within the Company.

* To provide support to colleagues within the company in regard to fraud detection and containment.

About you

A previous working experience within an investigative role is highly desirable, but consideration will be given to those who have experince as a claims handler looking to move into an investigative/fraud role.
