Digital Content Producer

Location: London

Contract: £250-£350

Overall Role Purpose:
One of our clients is looking to recruit a Content Producer who will be responsible for creating and optimising content for new websites across their business. The role will be working alongside another Content Producer. All content must be optimised for maximum visibility and performance in search engines, as well as adhering to online accessibility standards.

You will need to be comfortable educating stakeholders on the value of content and work with them to create content and meet deadlines

Our client is looking for a highly intelligent creative thinker with meticulous planning skills and an appetite for interpreting data in order to tell clear stories that help engage people through our brand and define and reshape user journeys.

Our client looks for team members who are confident, passionate, distinctive and often have varied and interesting backgrounds – both at work and personally. You will need to have extensive experience in writing for digital channels and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the power of editorial.

This is an ideal position for an experienced in-house or agency, freelance journalist, copywriter or content producer. You’ll be a team player who learns quickly, has plenty of initiative, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is bursting with great ideas – you will not be micro-managed.

Main Responsibilities:

* Manage the creation of all website content for the migration of sites to a new platform, working alongside and collaborating with another content producer, and prioritising content in-line with the project plan.

* Writing articles and editing existing content and ensuring it is fully optimised for search engines.

* Authoring and publishing content within the CMS.

* Brainstorming content ideas, proof reading.

* Make sure all content is factually correct and approved by all parties (stakeholders, legal and compliance teams).

* Suggest changes to the content strategy based on data and feedback.

* Create content as per the Tone of Voice guidelines, with consistency across the board.

* Work with our client’s internal teams and agencies to bring concepts and ideas to life.

* Provide insight into what type of content works on various social / digital platforms.

* International stakeholder management.

* Monitor the emergence of new platforms and technologies and offer insights into tactics that will increase engagement.

* Help with the creation of an international content network, supporting with education and training in best practice approaches to content and helping to nurture the relationships longer term.

* Provide best practice support and guidance to regional marketers across digital marketing channels (SEO, Content, Social Media, Email.

Essential Criteria:

* Experience in digital content creation and editing, underpinned with a thorough understanding of on-page SEO.

* Experience with a CMS such as Acquia Drupal, Umbraco, AEM.

* Experience with analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) - interpreting, analysing, reporting and using data for decision-making.

* Comfortable with developing/managing detail-orientated processes.

* Experience in the main disciplines of digital marketing and communications either from client or agency side.

* Able to address different audiences and cultural nuances using a range of styles and techniques.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise with careful attention to detail.

* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

* Confident communicating professionally with people across the business, and able to adapt to different stakeholders and language and cultural barriers, in order to meet briefs and gain stakeholder buy-in.

* Strong command of the English language with excellent written, editing and proofreading skills - detail-oriented.

* Experience working with both B2B and B2C.

* Minimum 5 years’ experience in digital content creation.

* You will be inquisitive, action-orientated and able to work collaboratively in an environment where you can share and reciprocate knowledge.

* Demonstrate a track record of delivering and measuring multi-channel content campaigns

* Self-motivated and proactive with a good sense of ownership, able to work well under pressure, with others and prioritise tasks and adapt to last minute request

Desirable Attributes:

Prior experience working with an international brand.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Desire to innovate, develop skills and be curious about new digital trends, technology and the opportunities they may present.

Experience in image and video editing software such as Adobe Marketing Cloud.

Ability and willingness to develop skills and keep abreast of new technologies and trends.

Ability to articulate and present thoughts to a non-technical audience.


A degree or diploma in a related discipline.

CIM/IDM Diploma /Certificate in Digital Marketing related subject desirable
