Test & Project Analyst Luton Want to join the worlds largest recruitment Company? We have an exciting opportunity to join our IT Project Management team based on the prestigious Capability Green Business Park in Luton, as a Test & Project Analyst. Reporting into the Head of Project Management you will be working within a test team but often taking sole responsibility for all aspects of testing, analysis of requirements and small changes. You will be responsible for: Designing & preparing test scripts for system functional testing, regression testing and UAT. Ensuring that test scenarios and scripts are prepared, prioritised and approved by stakeholders Attending workshops comprising business and or technical representatives to cover test activities such as requirement verification and prioritisation, test scenario identification Creating allocated test scripts, monitoring test execution and ensuring results are recorded. Co-ordinating re-testing of defects and issues Preparing and maintaining relevant test documentation and test plans Providing feedback and questions to the development teams and business analysts Scheduling testing and organising environments Organising and running UAT Input into Risk Assessments Managing system upgrades Managing system development and implementation change control process Liaising with Suppliers Writing of concise documentation Testing new programs and fault finding Input into writing operational documentation with the customer and business analysts Maintaining systems by monitoring and managing software defects Planning and working flexibly to deadlines Investigating and resolving application functionality related issues and provide first level support and troubleshooting Assisting in troubleshooting software application issues. Assisting in managing an outsource relationship for 3rd party application development and programming consultants Serving as a liaison and facilitator between all business units to address and resolve IT software issues Supporting other test team members and associated IT and Business resources as appropriate, reference the implementation of testing related activities Preparing progress reports Assisting Program/Project Managers, Software Development Team Managers and the IT Department as a whole in producing project plans and thereafter help in maintaining the plans Resource management and tracking Organising/co-ordinating meetings, workshops and training sessions Assisting in producing project documentation Assisting with project risk and issue management and project system change control Supporting the continuous improvement of the project management methodologies Management of small change requests and the change request process Assistance on project related tasks such as Data Cleanse and the management of various spreadsheets Helping with production of training manuals and communications To be successful in this role you will display: Experience in the full project, testing and development life cycle from gathering requirements through to implementation. Some practical experience of applying requirements management techniques from a range of delivery methodologies to deliver pragmatic solutions. Some knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, and enterprise software applications. Technical experience with systems networking, databases, Web development, and user support. Understanding of Microsoft .NET, Excel, Word, Outlook and HTML.
