Teaching Assistant Teaching/Child Support - Part-time

Ightham Primary School is seeking to appoint a part time Teaching Assistant who has experience of supporting and enabling learning in the Primary School Environment. The post is term time only and will be in Year 2 in the first instance. Working days will be Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Please note this is not negotiable as this is required to meet the needs of the school. Core hours will be from 8.30am to 3.30pm.
We run a Breakfast Club throughout term time, and an ability to work from 7.45am each day will be a distinct advantage to help us run this club.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- flexibility and commitment in their work with the children
- Experience (either voluntary or paid) of working in a primary school
- A good knowledge of the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum
- Experience of working with pupils who have social communication difficulties
- Experience of working with pupils 1:1 and small groups
