We are currently looking to expand our ICT Department by inviting applications for a pro-active and hands on ICT Helpdesk Administrator, based in Glasgow. You will provide 1st and 2nd line support to all areas and all levels of the business with the role reporting to the ICT Support Manager. The successful candidate will provide day to day operational support for all IT and Telecommunication systems within the company. The technical environment is very diverse, so you must have great experience in 1st and 2nd line support, as well as good working knowledge of common systems both internally hosted and cloud based. The ideal candidate must have : Windows 7 & 10 - build, configuration, deployment, support Active Directory - Setup of new accounts, password resets and deletions O365 – Configuration, management and support via web and PowerShell Printers - secure print Desirable: ITIL accreditation Windows Server 2008, 2012 – Installation, management, deployment and support Networking knowledge - Router configuration, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Microsoft Azure IaaS Network cabling and patching VoIP & SIP Key Tasks: Resolving IT support requests Monitoring of IT systems, servers and network infrastructure. Enforcement of IT security procedures and systems. Operating system patch management and hardware/operating system updates Antivirus patching, URL filtering email phishing filtering Monitoring of user devices: PC’s, laptops, phones. New system builds, user device deployment and basic user training. Setup of new accounts, password resets and deletions. Mobile device patching/app deployment. Active directory administration. Key Skills: Excellent troubleshooting skills Good team member Good communication skills Good telephone manner Taking ownership of issues Applicants for the role will be based in the central Glasgow site you may be asked to travel to different sites/offices around the UK on occasion (Full Clean Drivers Licence). In addition to "off the shelf" products, some of our systems have been developed in house, therefore you must be keen to expand your technical horizons and learn new technologies quickly to meet the challenges of a technically diverse environment. You should have a positive attitude and be willing to work in a vibrant and busy atmosphere.
