£11,216 (equivalent to £18,694 full time salary)

Tired of the commute and the battle and cost of a parking space? St Peter & St James Hospice is situated in the heart of the Sussex countryside near Haywards Heath, providing specialist palliative care for people towards and at the end of life.

We are looking for an exceptional and experienced Administrator to support our Wellbeing Services Team, incorporating our Befrienders, Beacon View Centre, Counselling, Complementary Therapy, Spiritual Care and Welfare services. You will report directly to the Head of Wellbeing Services and play a key role in meeting the data requirements of the Wellbeing Teams in the day to day input of patient, family and the bereaved data using the Hospice patient record system.

This is an all-encompassing and varied role across the entire Wellbeing Service, where you will have the opportunity to develop new systems and processes to maximise efficiency within the Department. You must have excellent keyboard skills and be proficient in the use of Word, Excel and Outlook. Previous experience of using a database, preferably SystymOne, would be very advantageous.

If you ‘want to make a difference’, are an excellent communicator, a knowledgeable and experienced administrator with a ‘can-do attitude’ and you can juggle a busy and varied workload, then we’d love to hear from you. In return we can offer you the opportunity to join a small and friendly workforce who always go the extra mile to support each other and meet the needs of our service users.

We are located in a beautiful setting in North Chailey, within beautiful landscaped gardens and woodland walks, along with our resident Donkeys, and Hospice cats. We offer free onsite parking, however, due to our location you must have your own transport as we are not serviced by public transport.

We offer subsidised meals, and there is a café facility 3 days per week. Tea and coffee are provided free of charge.
