They are an established Software as a Service Provider based in Basildon that requires an experienced 3rd Line Engineer to join their team.

The Role

The suitable candidate will be confident communicating with people by telephone, email and responsible to provide 2rd/3rd level technical support and troubleshooting to customers using their web-based solution. Having a strong IT background they would provide expert analysis of customer issues providing resolutions and workarounds where possible.

The candidate will also be exposed to their infrastructure and will be required to monitor production systems and thresholds, escalating where required and troubleshoot based on their ability and experience.

Essential Requirements
- Strong proven IT background
- An experienced customer oriented person, with a 'can-do' attitude
- An analytical mind, able to solve problems with logical thinking
- A bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related subject
- The ability to meet targets and handle a high-pressure environment

Desirable: Requirements
- A master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related subject. Or a formal Microsoft Certification in a related subject, MTA/MOS/MCP/MCTS/MCITP, etc.
- Experience with SQL and writing TSQL queries
- Good understanding of web applications including JavaScript and client-server technologies.
