Delegated Technician - 15 months

Job Description
A global Fortune 500 company with 62 offices in 20 countries who provides coverage for hard-to-place risks that generally do not fit in the underwriting criteria of standard insurance carriers, and offers specialty insurance for a variety of niche businesses across the globe.

Job Summary:
A Delegated Underwriting Technician is required to work within the Delegated Underwriting Management team providing support across the entire delegated underwriting process. The successful candidate would be expected to achieve individual and team targets, and fully contribute to the overall success of the department.

Duties and accountabilities
oProcess delegated bordereaux into various internal bordereaux management systems
oData entry into core underwriting systems
oWork closely with credit control to ensure contract terms are being adhered to. Manage issues or escalate to Director of Delegated Underwriting Management where necessary.
oSupport day to day process management of delegated underwriting, including due diligence work, in accordance with the Delegated Underwriting Policy and Procedures.
oEnsure administration of the portfolio is in line with regulatory defined conduct requirements and agreed minimum standards for all territories.
oGrow and maintain underwriter/broker/coverholder relationships in support of the business through the life of the portfolio.
oWork collaboratively with other internal partners as required for each facility.
oManage reporting requirements on the book of business.
oKeeping track of each account and its current state
oAny ad hoc tasks required by the Director of Delegated Underwriting.

Technical skills/Knowledge/Experience
oWill possess a sound knowledge of insurance. Experience of working in the London Market or a Delegated Authority environment would be advantageous
oWill have the ability to develop and maintain relationships with their clients/brokers
oWill have experience of effectively managing high volumes of data
oThey will be able to create concise and accurate reporting and supply a pertinent interpretation of the results
oPossess strong communication skills
oWill be a competent user of MS Office suite and an aptitude to learn in-house software is essential
