A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Night Carer with an organisation well known for providing therapeutic residential care and education, for children age 6 to 12 years, focused on transitions back to a family setting before the teenage years. Based in Kendal, Cumbria, the successful Night Carer will earn a salary of between £17,681 and £20,541, dependent upon experience Appletree Treatment Centre was established in 1995, the company are continuing their mission to help support young children (6 to 12 years) who have experienced trauma, whose lives have been severely disrupted to grow socially and emotionally to learn to cope with school and everyday life. They are helped wherever possible, to return to families and day schools before they reach their teenage years. The company has 3 registered homes with schools on site, located in the Kendal and Grange-over-sands area. As a Night Carer, you will be responsible for providing high quality care to children within the home. Other duties will include, but by no means limited to: Carry out the role of Night Carer with regard to the Quality Framework. Take ownership of own work activities as delegated by line manager. Liaise with all teams to ensure accurate and efficient communication and teamwork respecting confidentiality at all times. Keep clear professional records and follow reporting procedures. . Participate in house meetings and team training. Be part of the shift pattern process and flexible within reasonable boundaries Ensuring children’s safety and well being is appropriately protected at all times NB: All night staff are expected to be on waking duty for the whole period of the shift.
