Third Party Damage Specialist Role As a Third Party Damage Specialist you will take initial claims through from 1st notification and assessment to claim settlement, ensuring that this is the best possible outcome for both the customer and company. This role is primarily concerned with negotiating, influencing and liaising both internally and externally to mitigate and control the loss to the business. You will be expected to fully assess and investigate the claim insuring that the settlement is suitable while also ensuring that you deliver a high level of customer service at all times. At one time you will be managing 10-20 claims so you need to be able to manage and prioritise a busy workload and show efficiency in your working style. You will be expected to also perform additional duties on an adhoc basis as and when needed. Working hours for this role are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities To understand the key information required when a new claim is first notified and follow the required steps to progress and settle the claim To provide an excellent customer service and show empathy and understanding when dealing with our customers To resolve basic complaints from both the customer and third parties and follow company complaint procedure To conduct all necessary enquiries and validate indemnity on every claim To assess liability and take necessary steps to investigate fully To identify key causes of litigation and the steps which can be taken to manage this To gather all the relevant evidence and documentation to appropriately assess all heads of claim and use the AD paid report to expedite recovery To understand and identify the difference between a RIPE and Non-Ripe Insurer To identify potential large loss indicators to enable early escalation of appropriate cases to TCD Skills and Attributes Previous Third Party Damages experience Motor Insurance experience Ability to work to deadlines and time pressures Ability to work to KPIs Understanding of the Road Traffic Act Ability to influence and negotiate Qualified to GCSE level (Maths and English – Grade C minimum) Computer literate Knowledge of legal framework Knowledge of the Financial Conduct Authority and Regulatory compliance Knowledge of claims processes and systems Awareness of fraud indicators Benefits Competitive Salary Annual Leave from 25 days plus Bank Holidays (increasing with grade and length of service) Contributory Pension Life Assurance Discretional and Festive Bonus Subsidised Canteen Refer a friend scheme Talent Development Programmes 25% Discount esure and Sheila’s Wheels insurance 15% Discount on esure and Sheila’s Wheels Travel Insurance Number of cycling related offers including 10%-20% off at Halfords Discounted travel membership Next Step If this Third Party Damage Specialist role sounds like the exciting opportunity you are looking for, then please apply today, by submitting your CV.
