As a Compliance Officer your duties will include: Supporting in delivering the firm’s strategy. Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of internal systems and controls to regulatory rules and guidance. Providing proactive and pragmatic guidance to support regulatory changes, Financial Services projects, on-going business initiatives and other requirements. Submitting information to the regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority, using their online reporting systems. Providing advice and support to management in relation to systems and controls risks, specifically pertaining to Financial Conduct Authority rules and guidance. Assisting with the development and reviewing operational policies and procedures to ensure they remain within regulatory requirements. Undertaking monitoring in line with the firm’s annual Compliance Monitoring Plan. Continuing development of relationships with industry trade bodies. Other ad hoc activity commensurate with the role as requested. To be a successful Compliance Officer you will have the following skills and experience: Experience within a regulated environment (Financial Conduct Authority (Consumer Credit or similar). Sound working knowledge of the FCA Handbook. A proactive approach. Excellent communication skills. Diligent and fair decision-making skills. Strong time management and the ability to prioritise workload. An aspirational personality and a desire to join a growing team and be a key member of the team. Good educational background (including mathematics and English qualifications). Excellent communication skills - confident and articulate communicator liaising with both internal and external contacts. Able to build relationships, impart information and ensure action is carried out to meet deadlines.
