Heads of Change and Programme Management
The Change Directorate is responsible for managing the design, delivery and implementation of a wide portfolio of transformation activity across the NCA and with partners. Within our directorate, we have responsibility for the agency’s portfolio and programme office, programme delivery across technology and operations, enterprise design, external programme liaison and business change. This is a really interesting time to join the agency at a significant time of change and growth. The leadership roles are focused on coordinating the delivery of exciting and challenging programmes of key capabilities which enhance how we tackle serious and organised crime.
The Head of Programme Delivery (IT Sustainment) role is primarily responsible for the successful delivery of interdependent projects and the associated IT Sustainment. This role is also responsible for the establishment of appropriate governance and assurance, development of Business Cases, managing risks and issues, monitoring progress and ensuring the business readiness for change.
The main responsibilities of the Head of Business Design involve leading and directing departmental teams in the creation, maintenance and management of design and architecture across business and technology. Alongside providing design expertise and leadership to develop capabilities to achieve the NCA’s strategic objectives, this role also involves leading the development and implementation of a strategic framework and design gate process, including engagement with the senior leadership in the delivery of an effective and efficient design and architecture function.
The Deputy Lead for Transformation/Head of External Programme Liaison primary responsibilities are to perform as Deputy Lead for Transformation whilst offering support on senior leadership change in management of the overall Transformation Portfolio. Jobholders will also be leading on external programme liaison to influence the scope of NCA Programmes and to maximise the alignment between the capabilities delivered from the portfolio/programmes and those of wider government and law enforcement.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience of successfully managing medium-complexity programmes or projects with demonstrable ability to lead and deliver financial approvals including working with commercial and finance colleagues. They will also have experience of leading technical programmes and applying best practice in relation to, tools, techniques and associated methodologies and/or design architecture
Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is security check enhanced.
