Production Manager Our client is a busy injection moulding production unit for parts used in the textile combing and spinning industry. The company exports 95% of their production. The company has invested significantly in new machinery and purchased two new Wittman Battenfeld machines in the last two years and a further 3 older machines are in operation. This role has become available due to retirement of the experienced works production engineer after 40 years’ service in the pinning of textile products. The position is for a works manager/engineer to take charge of the production and maintenance of the moulding machines. This is a ‘hands on’ position and the successful applicant will be expected to lead and drive production in an efficient and effective manner. Role responsibility but not limited to:- knowledge of injection moulding and machines Engineering skills including milling and drilling would be an distinct advantage Production of the fallers and inserts including manufacturing product Managing the production workflow of staff Reporting to the Production Director Creating a safe working environment The ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbally across all levels of the organisation Complete all documentation as required. Including the maintenance of technical standards, drawings, manuals, engineering records, machine history, audits and stock control Supporting and training other engineers/apprentices and working as a team as required in day to day operation Essential Experience Apprentice or formally trained background Knowledge and competency with continuous processing Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English language Flexible approach to working additional hours, in line with operational demands Ability to work, safely, hygienically and independently, using own initiative A flexible and open minded approach is important The company employs 3 staff members so requires an experienced engineer with a can do attitude to produce quality product for our customers.
