Quality Engineer - Mechanical Products
The Company: One of the leaders in the MRO/Consumables market Excellent in employee retention Provide ongoing training and development to all employees Great opportunities to grow and progress within the business The Role: As the Quality Engineer you will be involved in managing complaints from customers, speaking to suppliers etc... You will be involved in visiting suppliers, doing audits, making recommendations, analysing failures from customer and then going back to the suppliers to advise them. As the Quality Engineer you will be making sure that corrective actions are dealt with, doing daily reports, staying in line with KPI's etc... You will be dealing with the companies full range of products including Power Transmission, Fluid Power, MRO Consumables, Fasteners, Fixings, Industrial Consumables etc? The Ideal Person: As the Quality Engineer you MUST have some quality experience or they would consider a graduate or an apprentice with some time served in quality in a quality department. Ideally a qualification in something relevant degree/apprenticeship or similar though time served would be ok. Looking for someone with a mechanical bias, if you have been involved in fasteners that would be great. Great if they have some LEAN experience such as 8D, 5 Why's FMEA (Failure modes and effects analysis) etc? or if they have reviewed PPAP's in the past.
