Job overview / purpose:

Greenpoint Computer Services is looking to recruit an apprentice to join their energetic service desk.

You will be providing 1st line support under the guidance of our experienced desk Engineers and service desk support Manager.

We have many clients that vary on set-up, which predominantly works around Windows environments.

This is a great opportunity to expand your knowledge and develop your skills within the Information Technology Department.

Main role:

The job role includes but is not limited to:

Answering support calls and recording information into the Helpdesk Ticket Portal Monitoring email inbox and recording emails into the Helpdesk Ticket Portal Administering Active Directory Reporting of back up success/failure Administering Office 365 Providing remote support General maintenance regarding anti-virus and further tasks set by Desk Support Manager Providing consistent updates to customers as well as monitoring service desk queue

Desired qualities:

A keen interest for IT Hungry for knowledge We look for an energetic and bubbly individual Someone with excellent communication skill who is easy to talk to, both in person and on the phone

Desired qualification requirements:

Minimum 5 GCSE Grades (C and above) or equivalent, including Maths and English.

Working week:

5 days per week,

Monday - Friday,

8:30am to 5:30pm - 45 minutes lunch break,

40 hrs a week, [all details will be confirmed with the employer]

Salary:

£250 per week

QA’s apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.

To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
