Experienced SCADA/PLC Project Engineer urgently required to join one of the most experienced players supplying multi-drive systems. Working from a West Midlands base, the business has an excellent reputation for successfully delivering complete turnkey projects to a worldwide client base. The ideal Engineer will be happy taking responsibility for the design and coordination of complex control systems projects for a wide variety of industries.

You will handle various industrial projects involving detailed hardware & software design with special responsibility for SCADA, MIS & PLC controls. This will be a Control Systems role with a focus towards SCADA & Industrial IT solutions within automated manufacturing.

Taking responsibility for the complete project lifecycle you will manage and control all commercial and technical requirements including: deriving requirements, completing proposals, controlling budget management, completing hardware and software design, right through to overseeing and supporting commissioning. You will also provide additional support to the sales team in defining proposals involving SCADA and support the engineering team with any IT issues.

The successful SCADA Systems Engineer will have previous experience of industrial control systems with the following:

Previous experience of industrial drive and control systems
Excellent working knowledge of SCADA/HMI and PLC products
Ability to manage and document the information required for a successful project

Knowledge and experience of some of the following is a requirement:

SCADA – WinCC, TIA, RSView, IFIX, Intouch

PLC – Siemens S7, Rockwell ControlLogix

Fieldbus – Ethernet, Profibus, Modbus

Languages – SQL, C, C++, VBA

MES/MIS – SAP ERP Processes, SQL OPC, PLC & .net, ISA S95

Interest and understanding of Industry 4.0 also sought.
