We are recruiting for a Warrington School who are looking for a Performing Arts Technician to work 37 hours a week for the rest of the academic year.

* To provide facilities for audio and video recordings, use of lights, sound systems, projection and basic sound/video editing
* To assist/facilitate students during practical work; set out materials and equipment needed for practical work, prioritising performances exams and assessments
* To ensure teaching rooms/studios and other related areas are kept tidy and set up for lessons as required
* To encourage all users to work safely in these areas, ensure Health and Safety regulations are adhered to and maintain security of these areas if necessary
* To provide technical support for all practical assessments and visiting theatre companies/workshop leaders
* To take on the role of technical manager for all large-scale College productions and cross-college events
* To manage equipment booking systems for both staff and students
* To order goods and materials where authorised within the departmental budget
* To manage and organise storage areas within the Curriculum Area including set/costume/props/technical equipment/tools/ Production Arts resources
* To assist in the update of all equipment and complete a stock-take annually
* To take responsibility for electrical testing of designated equipment, ensure compliance with Health and Safety procedures in Performing Arts and liaise with Estates staff over all other maintenance
* To instruct small groups of Production Arts students in technical procedures as appropriate
* To carry out all other duties that are in accordance with the purpose and grade of the post as may be reasonably required by the Vice Principal Resources

If you are successful you will be :-

* paid a competitive rate of pay (£70 - £90 a day depending on experience) paid directly into your bank account weekly
