Job Title: Business Analyst - Financial Services/Insurance Location: Salisbury Salary: Circa £45,000 to £55,000 Dependent on Experience Benefits: Bonus, Pension, Healthcare, Gym This is a new and unique opportunity to join a highly innovative financial services / specialist insurance company to help support their ambitious growth plans. Established 18 years ago this company focuses on providing insurance to hundreds of thousands of customers to allow them to support various welfare charities around the world. We are looking for a business analyst from the financial services or insurance sector with experience of business process improvement and change as well as technology based projects. The Role The focus of this position is to work closely with the business units, to gain in-depth understanding of the business strategy, processes, services, roadmap and the context in which the business operates. This role will be key to understanding and documenting capabilities needed to address business challenges. You will be responsible for reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end, to identify and address operational, financial and technological risks. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency. Responsibilities will include a full range of activities, from leading small to mid-size projects, to assisting others/project managers/scrum masters on larger more complex projects. Provide assistance enhancing and supporting both the business and technical teams, to deliver new products, the web site and portals. The position provides exposure to a broad range of related projects and activities both IT and business focused. You will have experience of working on both medium and large scale projects coupled with experience in data and trend analysis, to understand the drivers behind the business and the need for change. You will be highly proficient in capturing and prioritising requirements and will have strong Microsoft Excel skills to analyse information such as transactions, and customer behaviour, to help identify opportunities and make recommendations.
