This is an exciting opportunity for an outgoing and dynamic individual to join a rapidly growing leisure management company.

This Social Enterprise provides a range of diverse cultural, sporting and physical activities throughout East Devon and South Somerset.

Their trading subsidiary deals with the commercial activities at the Trust's entertainment venues on Exmouth seafront.

This post reports to the Head of Finance, who has overall responsibility for all financial controls relating to the Trust, and the management and development of the Trust's administrative and IT systems, payroll and pension provision. The Head of Finance is responsible to the Chief Executive and reports on financial matters to the Board of Trustees, Cabinet and Committees.

The Management Accountant will provide direct support to the Head of Finance with emphasis on financial reporting, KPIs and benchmarking, and monitoring charitable benefit and returns on investment across a multi site leisure business.

Anticipated project(s) in 2019: - Selection and implementation of a new BI solution to overhaul the reporting of KPIs across the business.

Specific duties include:

- Preparation of regular management accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis to internal budget
holders, senior management and external stakeholders. To include:-
a. Trading I&E
b. Projects
c. Cashflows and balance sheet position
d. KPI dashboards
- To co-ordinate and collate rolling forecasts from across the business
- To review and develop existing KPI collection and publication of data
- To work with leisure, area and functional managers to monitor their financial performance against budget and forecasts and to support business case preparation for plans requiring investment or charitable funding.
- Service delivery - costing preparation
- Pricing proposals - impact assessments
- Working with the Head of Finance to prepare an annual budget and longer term forecasts for presentation to Trustees
- Working with the Head of Finance to prepare business cases for Trustees and external stakeholders on proposed new sites and/or services
- To oversee intercompany reconciliations

Essential attributes:
1. Finalist / Newly Qualified Accountant
2. Producing monthly management accounts
3. Using ERP or other BI systems
4. Preparation of I&E, capex and cashflow management reports
5. Variance and trend analysis
6. Ability to identify KPIs and design data capture and rep
7. Intercompany accounting
8. Excellent Excel skills including macros, look ups and pivot tables
9. Report writing skills based on software accessing SQ
