Payroll Manager Full Time, Permanent £45,000 - £55,000, depending on experience SF Group is recruiting for an experienced Payroll Manager on the behalf an established business based in Leicester. The main purpose for this role would be to manage the payroll functions, including management of the Payroll Team Leaders and overall direct responsibility for the payroll function. The suitable Payroll Manager will be managing a payroll function that consists of circa 23,000 employees and multiple payrolls, circa 15 payrolls including weekly, fortnightly and monthly. As the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties: - Ensures the integrity, probity and reasonableness of local and central financial controls in respect of the payroll, in order to minimise financial risk via the correct implementation of procedures and policies. - Manages the production of all reporting and other related information regarding payroll and third party payments. - Ensures that all queries relating to payroll and benefits are handled in a timely and satisfactory manner. - Manages and develops the central payroll team to ensure that payments are made correctly and on time. - Keeps abreast of external professional and legislative developments, putting in place appropriate strategies to review and implement to best suit the needs of the business. - Manages and develops payroll procedures/controls, and continuously seeks and improves payroll service / reporting. - Manages and develops the policy, procedures and processes, which support employee benefits.
