Maintenance Engineer An exciting opportunity has arisen with my client. They are a successful Engineering company that are offering a stable and lucrative career in their machine shop. They require a CNC Maintenance Engineer to perform repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure longer lifespan of machines and facilities. The candidate will be responsible for *Day to day hands on maintenance of key production equipment dealing with breakdowns, Total Predictive Maintenance tasks and Overall Equipment Effectiveness improvements programme.*Maintain daily break down logs detailing hours lost and repairs completed. Reports to be supplied on a weekly basis.*To ensure so far as is reasonably practicable, that all production equipment is maintained to the highest standards and that machine production downtime is kept to a minimum.*This role requires the individual to be able to communicate well with all company personnel and present a smart, courteous, intelligent image to visiting Engineers and Representatives.*The role requires the individual to take responsibility for the sourcing of spare parts from suppliers and the raising of internal order requisitions.*The position requires the individual to be completely flexible to meet the needs of the company, whilst working a basic 39 hrs per week. The working pattern may be Days and or Shifts as required. The individual is expected to stay on to finish work at short notice as required.*The role requires technical skills involving fault finding, repair and maintenance, servicing of varying production equipment such as CNC machinery and other plant employed in the manufacture of its product.*The post holder is expected to be fully conversant with maintenance and safety procedures.*Good general education required. Experience of CNC machines and general understanding of TPM is desirable. Certified electrical training is preferable (if not, willing to be trained). May be required to go on specialist training courses.*Must have the ability to work with / without close supervision and use initiative to make decisions for production to continue until a superior can be consulted.*Contacts at all levels with all departments within the company and externally.
