The Role

The Family and Womens Healthcare Group which includes Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Paediatrics are seeking a highly motivated, committed and experienced Secretary/Administrator to provide a high quality secretarial and administration service to the Women’s Health Department incorporating community midwifery and the team of Matrons.

You must have relevant qualifications and a good understanding of the importance of confidentiality. A key aspect of your role involves dealing with all professionals and therefore, you must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. Your duties will also include being the point of contact for women and staff needing to contact the community midwives, minute taking, and dealing with telephone enquiries of which some may be very sensitive, due to the nature of the Health Group. You will update the eroster system as required reflecting the accurate staffing on the maternity wards and liaise with the matrons to highlight any problem areas.

For this role we are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, an ability to work well under pressure and adapt to conflicting demands. To be successful, you must have a professional approach, be a team player and be flexible.
